Richmond V Adelaide Rd5 2004 Friday 23/04/2004 TD (N)
What do you mean showing me a Tiger when it was a cute little kitty cat? Sorry, you just caught me screaming at the Crystal Ball. Seriously nothing of this world or any other could have foreseen the events of Saturday night, and that was a team taking the field for Richmond that played without heart and without passion. Apologies to young Tommy Roach, Brett Hartigan, Andy Krakouer and Nathan Brown who at least had a go, but the rest of them should go see the club doctor and find out how they can function without hearts.
The game this week is almost spookily similar to last week. Again Richmond come up against a side without a win and fighting desperately for some credibility with a coach under the pump. Just like Geelong, Adelaide are coming off a narrow loss to a side that look like playing some part in this years finals. I'm not really sure why, but ever since Frawley has been at the helm the Tigers have had problems with Adelaide, even when they have been playing well and I don't think that Richmond have beaten them in Melbourne.
At the moment Richmond are a team of 'nos': no game plan, no direction, no coaching ability, no talent, no skills, no heart, no passion, no enthusiasm, no Richo, no forward capable of kicking goals, no hope and no future.
Richmond will field 22 players, I'm not sure which 22 and Adelaide will have 22 that will want it far more so they will win.
I don't even need to look at the Crystal Ball to know that the Adelaide Crows will drop it on a great height from the tattered, toothless Tigers come Friday night.
Well that's the preview, sorry it can't be more positive, but that is just where they're at at present.
