Brisbane V Richmond Rd 14 2004 Saturday 03/07/2004 Gabba
Well after an eventful week's break, the coach resigned, effective at the end of the season, we all gear up for the remainder of the season.
It is an odd coincidence that often after tumultuous events off field such as coaches quitting or being sacked the team often gets up to win that week. Both the Crystal Ball and I would love to see this continue this week, however neither of us believe that it will.
The news that Matthew Richardson has been ruled out this week has not exactly helped Richmond's chances of rolling the reigning Premier on their own dungheap.
The main reason for the Tigers having little chance of beating their big cat rival is simple. Look at the Lions list and then look at Richmond's. They really do not compare. The Tigers have 22 fit men and so do the Lions, but that is where it ends. Hopefully now that he is freed from the need to perform Frawley will experiment and free his team to play all risks football, the naming of the highly regarded Shane Tuck this week is an example of that.
The Lions will be roaring at the Gabba on Saturday night, I just hope the Tigers don't embarass themselves.
