Adelaide V Richmond Rd 20 2004 Sunday 15/08/2004 AAMI Stadium (N)
The big news has of course been Richmond's successful search and signing of new coach Terry Wallace, however for the rest of this season Danny Frawley will continue to coach the Tigers with his usual lack of flair and insight.
Both I and the CB would love to tip a win for Richmond, possibly sparked by the news that they now will be led by someone who knows what they are doing, rather than the inept team of idiots that do it at present. However TW won't be helming the Tigers until next season. Richmond have never beaten Adelaide under Danny Frawley, it's unlikely they'll break the duck this week. Richmond don't travel well and the Crows grow an extra leg at AAMI Stadium.
One big problem is the ruck or lack of it. Ottens is out for the remainder of the season, Stafford is also injured, they don't want to play Ben Marsh, it'll have to be spare parts ruckman Ray Hall again, backed up by Jay Schulz. Although Adelaide has injuries and players out of form their ruck division of Matthew Clarke and Rhett Biglands are not amongst them. The ever reliable Chris Newman is also out this week which will only hurt Richmond more. The Crows lack of form and confidence will make it hard for them, but they will get over the line. Only 3 more weeks left.
