July 12, 1985 Rapid City, SD to Yellowstone
From there on we saw wildlife everywhere. Moose, plentiful buffalo, Canadian geese, more buffalo, pelicans, ducks and more buffalo. The cabin in Yellowstone is a lot smaller than last year but much nicer. We ate prime rib at the Canyon Dining Room - it was very good!

July 13, 1985 Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
The day started off miserably - damp, cold, and foggy. We headed south to the lake and stopped to film two buffalo fighting. Took the Trail to the Upper Falls, beautiful as always! It seemed more powerful to me this year than last. As we drove through Hayden Valley, we saw "2 dozen thousand" Canadian geese and ducks. At least that many buffalo, too. And even a few moose! Bob traipsed out into a meadow to get pictures of a moose-cow and her calf!

At Grant's Village Bob ran into another Supra owner and they went on and on about the low octane ratings of fuel in Wyoming. (It's a guy thing?) While there we went to the Wolves & Humans exhibit. It was excellent and we wished Grandma Selm could have been here. Bob said we could have shoved her in the trunk, driven her to Yellowstone, dumped her at the exhibit, put her back in the trunk and driven home and she'd have still had a blast! (It's a joke! Of course we wouldn't do that!)                  [continue reading...]
