Short Cuts
Seattle had a 21-20 lead early in the fourth quarter. The Seahawks had a late opportunity for victory disappear when rookie quarterback Jim Zorn missed an open receiver in the end zone. Zorn hit Sam McCullum on a 58-yard pass to the Viking eight. On third down and inches a run failed to break the end zone and Zorn's pass was off the mark on fourth down. "We played well but we didn't win," said Seattle Coach Jack Patera. "It was disappointing." |
