In the aftermath of Saturday's 69-point loss to St Kilda, Wallace admitted
he faced a dilemma finding a defender capable of holding Tredrea.
Some of the players being considered include youngster Jay Schulz, Ray Hall
and veteran Mark Graham.
"Do we go with those who've been able to do the job before or do we try to
bring someone in and give them the opportunity? We haven't made those
decisions," Wallace said.
"He (Schulz) has probably played one game or two games as a defender in his
career at a senior level . . . so to expect him to step into the ranks of
what is a 10-year seasoned back is pretty tough to ask.

Now Wallace is toying with the idea of promoting youngster Jay Schulz from
the reserves, giving veteran Mark Graham the job on Tredrea or the shock
option of moving ruckman Troy Simmonds into defence.
But Schulz - earmarked by Wallace as a centre half back option in the
pre-season before a broken ankle wrecked the start of his year - looms as
the wildcard.

The good news for the Tigers is the three most likely candidates to replace
Gaspar - Jay Schulz, Kelvin Moore and Daniel Jackson - were all in the best
for Coburg in the VFL on the weekend while ruckman Greg Stafford will also
be available this week after completing a two-match suspension.
And Armstrong said skipper Kane Johnson, who had been in doubt for the
Saints' clash with a knee injury which caused him to miss the previous
week's win over Essendon, had pulled up well following Saturday's clash and
would again be available to lead the Tigers against Port.
