Becky's Seahawk Family Album

I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado.

I have one of those "The-Broncos-can-do-no-wrong-so-let's-paint-the-dog-orange" families. I knew at a very young age that I was NOT going to be a Bronco fan! So, it just so happened to be the year before the seahawks became a team when I proclaimed, "Fine! I'll be a Seattle fan! They're a new team, so there's no rivalry. They won't be any good for awhile, so you can't raz me!" The seed was planted.

Over the next few years, as Seattle went from dismal to mediocre, the Broncos were losing Super Bowl after Super Bowl...life was good. Since my family has 'the sickness', we also have season tickets. We trade off, but I always get the Kansas City and Seattle games. I remember the first time Seattle won at Mile High Stadium....Steve Largent made a crucial catch on 3rd down to continue the drive which put the Seahawks up for good.

When I jumped out of my seat cheering, two drunkard Bronco idiots turned and yelled obscenities at me.

From that day on, I was a diehard. I put the Seahawk stripe around my room, put decals on my windows, and painted the dog blue and green.....
