July 16, 1985 Colter Bay, Wyoming our cabin is kinda neat although really rustic. I can see outside through the logs! It is nice and roomy though. We headed to Jackson Lake for dinner. Again, it was horrible. I ordered the 'special' -- beef stew over rice with a salad. The waitress kept forgetting to bring my salad, and when I had finished eating my stew she told me she'd bring me the salad. I told her I didn't really want salad for dessert. She took the cost of the salad off the ticket, then the cashier added it back on and we had to argue again! But it's better than eating at the Jackson Lake dining room -- prices start at $10 and go up drastically! When we got back to the cabin we decided to take a walk. We ended up going quite far, taking the Colter Bay self-guided nature trail that goes out to an island. Well, it used to be an island before they drained the lake! It was a neat trail and they had brochures to explain what to look for. We picked up rocks for Mike and watched the sunset.
We saw a BADGER in the trees behind our cabin! It was horrified as Bob took 6 rolls of pictures!!!
