Sept. 22, 2007 - Gig Harbor, WA to Seattle, WA From there we continued walking, searching and discovering. So many places I hadn't noticed before popped out now that I was looking for them after having read about them. We went into the Italian grocer and oohed and aaahed over their products! The crepe place was not in the location I had expected so I was really pleased to have discovered it. We stood in amazement watching them make crepes and then had to order one. Jan and I split the salmon crepe - half was quite a hearty meal. It was delicious! Salmon, cheese, onions, and rosemary inside the crepe with bechamel sauce over the top of it. You know me - I'm not a fan of salmon - but this was quite good! I was ecstatic because I found so many places I'd read about. Most of the discoveries we made today had been unknown to Jan as well. It's funny how we're programmed to see the new malls and the flashy signs, and walk right past a hole-in-the-wall gem because it doesn't scream BRAND NEW! I saw those hidden places today and was amazed! It was so much fun!
