Sept. 21, 2007 - Gig Harbor, WA to Paulsbo, WA When we finished shopping, I wanted to walk over to a statue I saw. It was a rather disappointing statue of a Viking. We found a boardwalk just beyond the statue and decided to go exploring. Turns out the boardwalk exited onto a path that went for about a mile or so, so we had a nice hike through a forested area over the body of water. Very, very nice. I liked it a LOT! Then we went to dinner. Oh Diary!!!! When you get to Anthony's Home Port before 6, they offer a 4 course meal for $18. I wasn't sure which entree I wanted. The safe bet is the shrimp alfredo, which I knew I'd like. The iffy choice, and the northwest choice, was the lincod in sour cream sauce. I asked the waiter to choose for me and just deliver whichever of the two he thought was best. I could tell by his eyes (he looked like Tom Cruise!) that he'd bring me the lincod. He lit up when I offered that choice. Not being a fishy person, I was a little nervous.
The first course was shrimp cocktail which was WONDERFUL! The second course was a Caesar salad (or clam chowder but I don't know if I can safely eat clams due to seafood allergies). The third course was our entree, the lincod fish. It was out of this world. I couldn't take a bite without mmmmm-ing!! That's got to rank up there as one of the best meals I've ever had - seriously!!! The |
