Sept. 25, 2007 - Oregon Coast
My morning began by not beginning! I spent some extra time lingering in bed. I had the window open all night so it was a tad chilly but I was snuggled under a very comfortable pile of blankets and it was very, very nice.

After my morning shower, K&C came knocking on the door and off we went to a latte stand. They are latte crazy so this is a morning ritual. I got hot chocolate and it was quite good. Our first stop was the Tillamook Cheese Factory where we had an interesting self-guided tour of cheese making! It was really quite enjoyable, especially when Karyn distracted one of the employees and the cheese started falling off the line! Shame on you, Karyn! Afterwards we had breakfast at the Tillamook restaurant.

Then it was on to the coast by way of car. I don't even know how to tell you what we did or where we stopped. After a while everything starts running together ... the towns, the shops, the scenery. I don't know where we were or what we did, only that we saw some incredible scenery and had a LOT of fun. Often I wanted to slow everything down and just linger where we were instead of trying to see and do everything but I knew we had to keep pressing on. If I have one complaint for today,
it's that there was too much to do. Really, I could stop and stay here for a couple of
days or weeks and explore one small area in detail. It's really beautiful and
                  serene here.     [continue reading...]
