Sept. 23, 2007 - Seahawks Stadium, Seattle, WA
That aside, it was a terrific time at the game! I loved being there on the absolutely picture perfect day. I wore my Darrell Jackson jersey and was quite comfortable in short sleeves. Who'd have guessed that with a forecast of rain every day we'd have sunshine?!

After the game we came back to the hotel. Tony and Jan left quickly as they had an hour drive back home and we were all exhausted. It was 10 till 6 and I knew that the belly dance store closed at 6pm, so I made a mad dash three blocks away to try to get there before they locked up. I made it, and I bought some belly dancing items for Mika. (Here comes another ferry across the Sound!) The owner was really nice, as well she should be with my $$$ purchase. I had it shipped home because it's quite heavy, so at least I don't have to worry about hauling it around for two weeks.

I had planned to go to the market for dinner but everything was closed. All the hustle and bustle of the market - gone. Just a few tourists wondering around looking quite hopelessly lost! I headed back to the hotel wondering what we were going to do for dinner. I wasn't willing to risk a fancy restaurant, thus having to walk back after dark so I slipped into a bar/restaurant near the B&B and ordered an antipasto plate to go. I brought it back to the hotel where I ate in the great room
watching the sun set over Puget Sound. It was quite lovely. I like the people here. They
are very polite and friendly as opposed to those we meet in upscale hotels who
are so afraid of smiling or acting like they're having fun! This hotel is by no means
a Five Star place but I like it's coziness and it's small clientele! I can't wait to sink
into the bed tonight because it's so cushy!!! [continue reading...]
