Sept. 22, 2007 - Gig Harbor, WA to Seattle, WA I told the butcher (on the southeast side of the market) that we were going to grill the flank steak but wanted to try some lamb, and I asked for his recommendation. He chose a piece of lamb that looked very much like a ribeye steak and told us to cook it with a bit of olive oil and some garlic until it was medium rare. I also bought some ground meat wrapped around two skewers - a combo of beef and lamb. Tony threw it all on to the grill and it was FANTASTIC!! Oh my gosh, that lamb was SO good! Clearly the best I've had in years, maybe ever! I ate till I thought I was going to pop!!! I had a glass of wine, too. My third in three days. I'm turning into a booze hound! After cleaning up the kitchen, we walked the dog and then went one more lap on our own. For the first time ever I hit 10,000 steps on the pedometer in one day. Wa hooo!!! I'm so tired I can barely keep my eyes open to write this! Going to bed now! Good night, Diary!! It was a good day, a fun, fun day! Did I mention the didgeridoo?! One of the buskers in the market was playing the didgeridoo! I wouldn't want to omit that from my diary. I love the didgeridoo. |
