Carlton 14.11.95 - Richmond 21.14.140 Now THIS is a game I can write about!!! I've got to admit that I was a little worried midway through the first quarter when the score was 4.2.26 Carlton to Richmond's 1.2.8. That was a sinking feeling, especially when Rex Hunt enthusiastically screamed that the Blues had come to play! I was much relieved when we pulled to within a goal by quarter time, and ecstatic when we went on a goal kicking spree in the second quarter!

I had to laugh when the announcers started singing "Richo, Richo, Richo-man! I want to be a Richo man!" (To the tune of Macho Man, in case it's hard to pick up in text...!)

I am going to miss 3AW SO much when this footy season is over! Rex Hunt can be over the top, but the more I listen him the more he's part of my footy experience. When 3AW doesn't broadcast the game via the Internet, there's always a momentary disappointment.

The Fat Lady was starting to sing when I went to bed at 1am during the 3rd quarter. I just couldn't make it up to the end of the game, but I headed to dreamland confident that we'd still be on top in the morning!
