Melbourne 9.16.70 - Richmond 7.10.52
Once again I didn't get to listen to this game live but it's probably just as well considering that it wasn't one of our finest.

Tiger Fan Pelic from Australia wrote with a terrific view of the game, so let's have him sum it up this week for us.

How about the tigers huh. We are going really well and are a chance for the finals. It is a bit disappointing that we lost on the weekend (I went to the game) but I think it is ok because a young side will be inconsistant. We have had a couple of great wins in the meantime against port and collingwood. The kids are really performing well as are the previous years second tier players like pat bowden, kayne pettifer and greg tivendale. It is really good to see Pettifer do well and if the all australian side was named now, I am sure he would be in it. It was good to see Richo take a few marks towards the end of the game. Hopefully he can really pick up some form and try get his three goals a game. The good thing is we dont need him to kick a bag to win anymore because Simmonds is pushing forward and Pettifer is kicking his fair share and the midfielders as well. Schulz is really coming good after his injury. He really killed them in the VFL and is taking a few good grabs in the AFL now so that is great. There is another kid called Dean Limbach who is starting to show his wares as well. He was kicking five or six in the VFL Reserves and now is kicking a few in the VFL seniors so hopefully he can really be an extra goalkicker in a few years. And how good is Andrew Raines. Best young player in the league by a mile. He continues to beat his opponent and win plenty of the ball and create attacks for us. I know we lost on the weekend but I am really rapped with how we are going. I wouldnt be disappointed if we dont make the finals this year cause I know next year we can give it a real good shake up. And then in 2008 we will have Cogs and Newman back to their best along with the kids being in there third and fourth years. There is a lot to look forward to. Dean Polo is fast becoming my favourite player to watch along with Kellaway. He is a real tryer and never gives up. I dont think we will win next week but as long as we give the swans a good workout I will be happy. Special mention to Gasper as well. He played a solid game on Neitz and will probably get barry Hall this week. Anyway, have a good week and i'll get in touch again soon
