Rough start to the 2006 season, to state the obvious. I don't think anyone from any team with any passion whatsoever for footy wants to see a lopsided game like this one.

The game came on at 2am my time so I wasn't able to catch any of it live on the Internet, and I suppose that's just as well given the outcome.

As Wallace points out, there will be better games ahead. Of that there is no doubt.

Yeah, that one brought it home to me. We're not very good, we haven't been very good for a long time and judging by the fact that it's the same players making the same mistakes we're not going to be very good for a long time. I'm betting Terry Wallace's to do list for today reads something like this:
Go to the butcher, buy some hearts for the players.
