Richmond 0.11.9.75 - Hawthorn 1.11.10.85
Ohhhhh, if only Hawthorn hadn't kicked that super goal! Surely we could have made up one more behind to at least tie the game! By the way, I just LOVE that about the pre-season! 9 point super goals rock!

The footy is back and isn't it sensational?! We didn't win which is disappointing given our comeback in the 3rd quarter, but it's just nice to have the boys back on the field doing their thing!

This year's format for me will be a little different from last year. I'm not sure how much writing I'll do after the games because with the schedule tipped in favor of night games, I won't get to listen to many of the games live. Being the night owl that I am, I can manage a game that starts just after 11pm and wraps up prior to 2am, but I can't swing a game that starts at 4-5am. That's prime sleeping time!

BUT ... no matter how the season unfolds, I'll be here briefly with commentary from across the ocean! GO THE TIGES! Good luck in the 2006 season!

Hi Becky,
As you know we played our first pre season game and lost :(. It really wasn't that bad, I've seen some have had the typical kneejerk reaction of: this player and that player is useless, dud, blah, blah, get rid of them, we're doomed, going to finish last, long season,etc.....

Get a grip! It's February, we had about 10 regular seniors out, we handled the new rules quite well, we played kids, we only lost by 10 points and we came out with no injuries. Yeah a win would have been nice and the skills need work, we also have to get out of the mindset of handballing instead of kicking long, but it'll happen, how long did it take to build Rome?
