Chris Greenway's Footy Commentary!

Rd 7 Richmond vs Brisbane

3. Brett Deledio: played well in the 1st quarter, but was held after that.

5. Troy Simmonds: he knows he’s gone at the end of the season and is playing accordingly.

8. Jack Riewoldt: could be good, but not ready to be the key forward.

10. Shane Edwards: no impact, must lift to keep his spot on the list.

11. Joel Bowden: got plenty of the ball, but butchered it.

14. Dean Polo: tried really hard and probably won his battle.

16. Luke McGuane: well beaten in defence, can take a mark, if he could kick he’d be a decent forward option.

17. Chris Newman: just doesn’t do enough to inspire the team he is the captain of.

18. Alex Rance: worked his backside off until a head clash saw him finish the game in hospital.

21. Shane Tuck: wins the hard ball, but has dreadful disposal.

22. Jarrod Oakley-Nicholls: the old player returned and couldn’t find a team mate by foot or hand.

23. Daniel Jackson: was beaten easily and didn’t help when he copped a stray boot that saw him get stitches in the head.

24. Mark Coughlan: working back into the game, but has a way to go yet.

25. Jay Schulz: made it to the ground on time and that’s about the only thing he did right.

30. Richard Tambling: one of Richmond’s few winners all day, shame about his ordinary kicking at goal.

32. Ben Cousins: only played about half the game, but was well on top when he was on the ground.

35. Matt White: must do more.

38. Robin Nahas: dangerous and lively, but has to start finding the goals.

40. Kelvin Moore: the Tigers best key defender until he went off with a shoulder injury, came back, but was playing under duress.

41. Nathan Foley: can still find the ball, but no longer knows what do with it.

42. Andrew Collins: promising young player, I wonder how long it will be his lack of development is disappointing all and sundry.

44. Angus Graham: had a great game, really coming on. He can blame the conditioning staff (maybe that should be lack of conditioning staff?) for the fact that he cramped so badly he was unable to influence after midway through the 3rd quarter.
