Round Four

I knew this was going to happen sooner or later, I just didn’t expect it to be this early or for it to be this particular player, but we have our first dual nominee: Richard Tambling. At last, at long last, Richie is starting to show everyone why he was taken at #4 in the 2004 draft. He worked tirelessly for 4 quarters, he tackled, chased, got the ball, ran away from flat footed opponents, he kicked the ball into the forward line, hand passed to runners streaming forward and kicked 3 goals, one a beauty from the boundary that probably broke Fremantle’s back and ended any resistance. It’s too early to call, but Richie is beginning to be something special.
