You can get up-to-the-minute news from any number of Seahawks sites or commercial sites, so I've mostly let this page slip through the cracks. It does serve as a rather handy time-line however, so I'll leave the archive here and add to it as time allows.

| September 25, 1998 | The state and representatives of Seahawks owner Paul Allen have signed off on lease and development agreements for construction of the NFL team's new stadium. The agreements allow construction of the project's exhibition hall and parking garage to start next week. That work is expected to wrap up late next fall, with demolition of the Kingdome expected in March 2000, clearing the way for construction of the 67,000-seat stadium itself. The $430 million project, next door to the new Mariners stadium, is scheduled for completion July 31, 2002. |
