You can get up-to-the-minute news from any number of Seahawks sites or commercial sites, so I've mostly let this page slip through the cracks. It does serve as a rather handy time-line however, so I'll leave the archive here and add to it as time allows. Thanks for your e-mail letters to let me know when something happens!! Shaw was fined for his behavior in arguing a simultaneous possession call after he and Seattle wide receiver Joey Galloway both came down with the ball.
September 25, 1998 The state and representatives of Seahawks owner Paul Allen have signed off on lease and development agreements for construction of the NFL team's new stadium. The agreements allow construction of the project's exhibition hall and parking garage to start next week. That work is expected to wrap up late next fall, with demolition of the Kingdome expected in March 2000, clearing the way for construction of the 67,000-seat stadium itself. The $430 million project, next door to the new Mariners stadium, is scheduled for completion July 31, 2002.
September 24, 1998 The NFL will play in Australia next summer as the league announced that the San Diego Chargers and Denver Broncos will meet in a pre-season game on August 8. The game will be played at Stadium Australia in Sydney, the main stadium for the 2000 Olympic Games.
