My cousin did a job swap in America. He ended up in Seattle, met a girl, got married, sent me a Hawks t-shirt back for Christmas. American Football got its first TV show in England around the same time so I thought, might as well support this lot. That was about 1985.

Since then I've been to Seattle to see them play against Houston in 1988 (I think).

I arrived in Seattle to be told by my cousin he couldn't get tickets for the game. Then we had a look around the Kingdome (outside only!) I was a bit depressed to say the least. While I was in Seattle I decided to phone the Team up to get some Fan club details, they gave me a wrong number. However, and it's a big however, the wrong number guy had two spare tickets for the game.....8th row End zone!

I went to the game and we won with a last second field goal by Norm Johnson (held by Steve Largent!) After the game we hung around and met Norm Johnson, Paul Moyer, Bryan Millard, and The Boz. I also met Warren Moon!

I have a great Pal in Seattle who sends me stuff every month. He came to England about 3 and a half years ago and gave me a ball signed by Dennis and Cortez, it's behind me as I write to you. I've also got a signed Brian Blades picture.

I also sent a thank you card and a small gift of a guitar badge to Paul Allen for buying the team and keeping them in Seattle. He replied (!) and said he would add the guitar to his collection.
