When I was growing up, I was a Cowboys fan. (Don't even want to admit that now!) During the 80's, I didn't really have a favorite team. Then my best friend got married to a guy who was a really annoying Bronco fan. One year, it seemed like the only team that beat Denver was Seattle. So I started liking them because of that. I've been a fan for over 10 years--a study in optimism. I know they'll do it someday, and I'll be there cheering! Someone once told me a joke that's kind of funny, but depressing at the same time.

How do you know your team sucks?
