I'm a die-hard Seahawks-fan since '84 and one of my dreams were to see the Seahawks-action for real. My problem is, I'm from Freiburg (Germany). That means more than 10.000 KM away from my favs "The Hawks". In December 1997 my dream came true, because my girl made a gift to me. She ordered a ticket for the home game vs. 49ers via Internet and gave it to me with the best wishes but she said I have to do the rest by my own. She was sick and tired of my talking about the Seahawks every single day. So I booked a flight to Seattle and the adventure begins.

Seattle is a beautiful city and I enjoyed my time there very much but one of the momments I will never forget:

It was 1 or 2 days before game day and I was walking down Kingstreet and there I met Kevin Mawae.

So I ask him for an autograph and he was very pleased and asked me where I come from. I told him that I'm from Germany and come here just to see the Seahawks. Kevin was very surprised because he spend some time in Germany when his father was in the army. He played high school in Frankfurt and knows something about football in Germany. It was a very very nice meeting with him and later on he picked me up and we met Howard "The House" Ballard and Mike Pritchard. It was the most memorable moment in my relationship with the Seahawks.

They were so kind and friendly to me that I was the proudest man back in Germany when I was talking about the Seahawks.

I was very sad that Kevin left the Seahawks but I wish him all the best for his future without the Seahawks.

In 1999 we're No.1 again believe me. Go Hawks.
