From the Richmond Club Site: All the Tiger players competing in the Round 22 clash with Hawthorn will wear Jack's famous No. 17 on the sash of their guernseys, just above their hearts. And, a giant replica of Jack's No. 17 guernsey will be painted on to the MCG arena. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Well! There we have it, another AFL season come and gone. When I started writing these reports at the beginning of the season, I had such high hopes for our beloved Tigers. Instead we finished 13th on the ladder without all that many memorable moments. Where has the season gone? In a blink of an eye it was over. Now we await the finals competition and the biggest game of the year in which the Tigers will be watching rather than participating. We see Richo flying over the pack in the photo on the right. Love him? Or not? What's the verdict? And who will be awarded the prestigious Jack Dyer award in this, the year of his death? I wouldn't be honest if I didn't tell you I'm disappointed in the way the season developed, but deep down I'm a Tiger fan through and through. And knowing that, there'll always be next year! Thanks so much for spending the season with me. It was full of terrific highs and dreadful lows. I think overall it was a positive season despite the outcome, and I have great hope and confidence for the 2004 season. See you there!
