We headed into the game injury-riddled and then complicated matters further when Richo was knocked out of the game in the first quarter of play. Although he wanted to come back into the game in the final quarter, it wouldn't have been a prudent move after his concussion and I'm not sure it would have helped at that point anyway. Carlton led the entire game and though Richmond showed signs of making a comeback, every time we got close the Blues kicked another two goals. This loss knocked us out of the Top 8 and has put a damper on our hopes of a playoff game. Stranger things have happened though, so let's not give up till it's mathematically out of the question! About footy though, the game opened with 5 goals in 8 minutes! How exciting is that?! I'm thinking about what fans would do in an NFL football game here in the States if teams scored 5 touchdowns in 8 minutes! I can't imagine the commentary on something like that -- they'd be going NUTS! Fans would be leaping out of the stands! Is it any wonder I've come to love this game of Australian Rules Football? It's just awesome!!!
