Well! We did it again! Unfortunately that means we lost. You know, it's amazing to me that we're sitting in the 11th position on the ladder, 3 spots shy of the Top 8. With this losing streak we've had, it seems like we should be somewhere down there with the Western Bulldogs. (Ohhhh, that was cold. My apologies!)
Seriously, we're not that far out of reach given the 6 game losing streak. If one were to be an optimist (And why not? It can't hurt!) one could always hope for a 6 game winning streak to finish the season! We could conceivably beat Geelong, the Bulldogs, St Kilda and Hawthorn who are currently at positions 14, 16, 12 and 10 on the ladder, respectively. Throw in a victory over Essendon (in position 9) and a victory over Collingwood (in position 7) and why not?!?! And ohhh, those would be beauties to win!!!! Realistic? I don't know. I don't think anyone predicted our winning streak early in the season. I'm quite sure they never expected us to be in the Top 4. Who's to say we can't get back on track? I think I'll choose to be optimistic. Bring it on, Tiges!!! Let's see what you can do with your backs against the wall!
And anyway, our next game will be a beauty to win because I'm actually going to be able to listen to the game live for a change! These night games are impossible for me! I'm psyched! Ready to prove the media wrong by giving Geelong a wholloping!! (I'll settle for the slightest margin of victory, actually!)
So there's my outlook for the remainder of the season. I'll concede a victory to Port, although we must remember a line that's quoted often in the NFL ... "Any given Sunday...!"

What on earth has happened to the great Tigers. First I am boasting to my
buddies that Richmond is sitting nicely in the top 4, I find seven weeks
down the track, crappy Hawthorn is sitting on top of us. It is degrading to
think that we have only had two more wins then Carlton. I agree with you
that we can make the finals. We must beat Geelong, Footscray, Hawthorn,
Essendon and St Kilda. We can expect losses to Fremantle and Port Adelaide.
The Collingwood game is the one that will decide if we make the cut or not.
A loss would mean we finish the season with 11 wins, 11 losses. That is how
we finished in 2000 and came ninth. I don't want that heartbreak again. A
win would give us 12 wins, 10 losses and that would give us probably 8th or
even 7th place. There is only one good thing about where Richmond is. This
time last year we were already looking forward to next year. I can't see the
game this weekend cause I have to play a game of footy about 140 miles out
of town. I am pretty battered after last night's very physical training so I
am going back to bed.
