Just for fun through the 2008 footy season, I'm going to chronicle the seasons of these two players through my own personal opinions listening to the game and via media outlets. Your feedback is welcome!
Regular Season
Round 22 - Richmond 18.13.121 - Melbourne 6.5.41
Brett Deledio - The ABC has this to report about Brett Deledio: With both sides out of the finals running, a small crowd was on hand to
watch the one-sided affair, but Tigers pair Brett Deledio and Joel
Bowden did their best to please the crowd with dominating performances. Deledio led all scorers with four goals and picked up 25 touches around
the ground, while Bowden continued his late season purple patch with a
game-high 34 possessions and three goals.
The Fox site states: Brett Deledio again enhanced his club
best-and-fairest credentials.
Deledio's honour can't mask finals letdown
By Mic Cullen 12:37 PM Thu 04 September, 2008
RICHMOND forward Brett Deledio says it's an honour to be named in the
All-Australian squad.
The 20-year-old has been named in the initial 40 from which the final
22 will be selected after a season that saw him ranked inside the AFL's
top-20 in marks, handballs, disposals, inside-50s, and goal assists.
Deledio said he was fairly happy with his season.
"What can you say about it? I'm just honoured, really," he told
richmondfc.com.au about his nomination.
And finally...
Richo misses out as Deledio justifies draft selection

Richmond midfielder Brett Deledio has upset sentimental favourite
Matthew Richardson to win the 2008 Jack Dyer Medal. Deledio, 21, the
No. 1 pick in the 2004 draft, polled 250 votes to stave off a
barnstorming Shane Tuck by 27 votes, with Richardson (203) in third
place in an exciting best-and-fairest count at the Crown Palladium
ballroom last night.
"You can't win this award without your teammates out there winning
the ball for you," Deledio said last night.
"And thanks to my dad for sitting me down and telling me some home
truths after my Round 1 shocker. He's the reason I'm up here now."
Nathan Foley - The club site reports: The dominance was reflected on the scoreboard where the Tigers increased
their lead at every change as the likes of Tuck, Nathan Foley, Kane
Johnson and Bowden did as they pleased all over the ground.
The ABC report: In what was always a rebuilding year for the club, the Tigers just
missed out on a spot in the eight by half a game and should improve next
year with a young list headlined by Trent Cotchin, Mitch Morton and
Nathan Foley continuing to gain experience.
