Just for fun through the 2008 footy season, I'm going to chronicle the seasons of these two players through my own personal opinions listening to the game and via media outlets. Your feedback is welcome!
Regular Season
Round 14 - Richmond 12.16.88 - Carlton 17.16.118
The Sydney Morning Herald is reporting a tragic accident this morning:
AFL star in a coma
June 29, 2008 - 11:36AM
AFL club Richmond says the condition of key position player Graham Polak has improved after he was hit by a tram in Melbourne, but he remains in an induced coma.
Polak was crossing the intersection of Orrong and Dandenong roads at Armadale around 11pm yesterday when he was hit.
We wish Graham Polak the very best in a complete and full recovery from this terrible accident, and prayers go out to the team, his family and friends as well.
Brett Deledio - The Fox site describes Deledio as "excellent". Sportal reports: "For the Tigers, Joel Bowden (32 possessions) and Brett Deledio, who
collected 32 disposals and 11 marks, were busy throughout."
The Club site reports: "Brett Deledio also continued his vastly underrated
season with 30 disposals."
The Hun site did a nice write up on Deledio to validate his draft pick:
"That aside, here are three facts that endorse Richmond's decision to
take Brett Deledio No. 1.
He was drafted at the tender age of 17 years and six months, he won the
AFL Rising Star Award in his first year, and he has played the most
games of the crop of 2004.
Deledio, who turned 21 in April, has played 75 of a possible 79 matches
in four seasons at Punt Rd."
