Mr. Irrelevant: Tony Burse
Tony Burse played 18 years as a professional football player in 4 different leagues; the NFL, the AFL, the WFL and the CFL. In fact he is one of the few pros to ever play in all 4 Pro Championship Bowls; the Super Bowl (Dallas Cowboys), World Bowl, Arena Bowl (Detroit Drive) and Grey Cup (Edmonton Eskimos in 1996). Burse came to the CFL in 1995 with the Sacramento Goldminers, moved to San Antonio (the team folded) then he was picked up by Edmonton’s own Eskimos as a free agent. He finished off his CFL career with the Toronto Argonauts in 2001 but he now resides in Edmonton. This 6’ 240 lb Full Back was a mighty force wherever he played and is well remembered to have made a difference.
