We passed by Hays and saw a random chicken statue. There it was, in the middle of a pasture. A random chicken statue. Maybe it wasn't a chicken. It might have been a roadrunner. It was getting dark and I was driving 70 mph down the Interstate. It was hard to tell! But regardless, there was a huge, random statue with no explanation.

All the way home I listened to music, belting out the tunes since no one was there to hear! I'm actually hoarse right now from talking and singing so much (or maybe it's because I breathed in smoke for two hours on the road crew!) I had to jump every so often when a giant bug hit my windshield. I've never seen bugs so big; I've never experienced such a belting of bugs on the windshield. My car is disgusting!

I didn't want to stop anywhere for dinner. I was getting tired and I just wanted to be home in my own bed. I went ahead and pushed through without stopping, arriving home around 10:15pm. It had been a 12 hour road trip using $50 of gas. Not a bad price for a day of sightseeing!

It was a good day, a safe trip, a fun outing, and an adventure. I'm ready to go again!

               The end.
