We did it YET again!!! YELLOW AND BLACK!!! :-)

This is amazing, just truly amazing! What a season our Tiges are having! If you followed their preseason, I don't think you'd have predicted that they'd be #3 on the ladder at this point in the season. I'm a perpetual believer in my team, but not even I had hopes of progressing like this! Oh you mighty Tiges! I'm so proud of you all!!!

The game was played in the middle of my night once again (same goes for the next few weeks -- boo!) so I wasn't able to follow along. But go ahead, ask me how I found out who won! Go ahead! Ask! Be brave, my friends!

A St. Louis Blues player told me at the US Footy game in Kansas City, Missouri!

hee hee!

Yes, it's true! I was at the footy this past weekend, which is why this report is being posted late! The Kansas City Power, sister team to Port Adelaide, hosted a tournament with 6 teams participating. No, the North Carolina Tigers were not there; oh how I longed to see the yellow stripe! But the teams who came were the New York Magpies, the Denver Bulldogs, the Milwaukee Bombers, the Dallas Magpies, the St. Louis Blues, and of course, the Kansas City Power.

It was a beautiful weekend for the footy and after my third tournament in KC, I'm starting to recognize players and coaches! That makes it more fun when you can cheer on individuals! Some people ask me what the skill level of US footy is -- well, you see it all. There are teams who practice at a high level and are very competitive; there are blokes who get together to have a kick and a contest for the sake of having fun; and there is everything in-between. That's what makes it so fun to watch. It's people of all ages and all walks of life brought together by a common love of the game -- Aussie Rules ROCKS! BRING IT ON!!!

More pictures to come after they've been developed and scanned!

The ideas expressed are accurate to the best of my wee, limited and infantile knowledge! Please keep in mind that my comments come strictly from listening to the game, not viewing it. Thanks so much to the Tiger fans from Australia who have taken time to write! It's been great fun and I love hearing from you! That said, kick back and have some fun with me as we go through a season of Aussie Rules Football!!
