OK, so while I'm listening to the game live on the Internet, I'm watching the Olympics! Right now they're showing a two-man sand volleyball competition against the Aussies and the US. The Aussies won the first set and are ahead in the second set. As Adelaide scores another goal, I think of the differences between the footy and the beach volleyball, particularly in training. Somehow it doesn't quite seem fair! :-) Just prior to this competition I saw the Women's freestyle relay shown on replay. The US was neck to neck with Australia throughout the race, and at one time pulled ahead. What an exciting competition it was, ending in a gold medal and a World Record for Australia! Great stuff! Isn't sport awesome?! As for the footy, we've lost again. Alas.
