Abysmal.
That's what I think about the performance of our Tigers this week. Frawley said we just didn't play hard enough. Yeah, whatever.
I thought this was a game we could...and should...win. I thought the momentum from our surprising win last week would carry over to this week. I don't for the life of me understand the hot/cold aspect of the Tigers. When they put their talent on the line, they are tough! When they don't have it all together, well, they end up playing like they did this week.
I think next week's game is going to be a bit of a challenge. I'm glad Chris is the one making the predictions 'cause I'd be hesitant to put my money on the Tigers. (If I made the predictions, I'd pick the Tigers every time!)

Remember that grumpy email I promised? Well, here it is. Get all small children out of the room, because this will not be at all pleasant.
It's not over yet, around about last quarter, maybe not even, we are over 60 points down and if that's all we lose by then we will be lucky.
I am absolutely disgusted with this display! This is an example of a side playing true Frawley football. They have gone out there like all they had to do was turn up to win. Melbourne have a habit of putting on these 'special' things before a match against us and then winning it, this is another one. I, unfortunately, think that last week was a one of those odd things that will happen from time to time and what we are seeing tonight is the true mediocre Richmond that everyone expects to see. The umpires aren't doing us any favours, but they have no one to blame, but themselves and it's going to be a long, unpleasant season with Richmond filling one of the bottom rungs of the ladder. There must be someone out there who can coach?
Oh well, c'est la vie. I know it's early, but I've seen this happen too many times, yet another wasted season.
Chris.

Subject: Last Week is Long Gone
They say one week is a long time in football and the Richmond Melbourne game proved this yet again. Melbourne were coming of a bashing from Hawthorn and a very poor 2003 season. Richmond just came off a heartening 40 point victory against the Magpies. And one week later; Richmond play their usual pathetic football where they rack up more possessions than the opposition and still get hammered. It reminded me too much of last year where our stats would look fantastic because we'd chip the ball across the half back line and never kick the ball long into the forward fifty. I believe that Richmond should just go back to basic football. Kick the ball long down the middle. We have got two or three players over 200cm tall and another three almost 200cm. This is one of the tallest, if not the tallest in the AFL and we still persist to play around across half back. Credit to Melbourne though, they really showed their critics that they can play with passion and that they can play good. They shut Richmond out of the game. Everytime there was a contest, there were two Melbourne players to one Richmond player. It was a mirror image of what Richmond done to Collingwood in round one. Lets just hope that the Tigers can bounce back on Easter Monday and beat the arrogant Saints. St Kilda won both their games so far so let's put those young buggers where they belong.
