Richmond 14.14.98 - Collingwood 15.13.103
Ohhhh, it was such a close game!!! My heart breaks for the boys that we didn't pull this one out, and yet I'm proud of them for such effort!

Truth be told, I had a bit of exciting news the night of the game and I didn't get to listen to all of it. A whole wonderful adventure opened up for me and I'll be heading to Seattle, Washington in late September as a result. I had one ear on the game and one ear on the developments of the unexpected trip, and believe me, it was quite a night!!

Anyway, I thought we'd be celebrating the advent of a new coaching staff at Tigerland this week when it was announced that Terry Wallace was our new coach! The next thing we knew it was denied! Will things ever settle down on Punt Road?

Hey Becky,
Well there isn't much left of this season thank God but hopefully we will get the priority pick and then we can look forward to the future. Losing in the last minute is bad enough but losing to Collingwood is just plain awful. I really don like Collingwood and I refuse to tip them in my tipping comp because they really give me the creeps. Good to see David Rodan doing well. I didn't see the game as I was playing but from the reports he has done well. I really hope that it won't be the same old garbage this off season like pretending to clean the list out and fix the heart of the problems while they are really just putting a dodgy bandaid on.

Anyway, the Gympie Cats won so that was at least a bonus. Only the second win for the season.

Cheers
Pelic

Hi Becky,
Wow! What a game! I hope you heard it all, yes the bit where King kicked the goal with a minute left and we lost by 5 points sucked, but the rest was pretty good. Well, except for the 6 points and one out of bounds by Richo. I actually enjoyed today, I'm sure that the corporate hospitality and the absolute pearler of a late winter's day that Melbourne turned on helped. A lot of it had to do with the fact that the team were outmatched in most departments, but never gave up and very nearly pulled off an improbable win. I don't mind losing (actually I hate it), as long as I can see them really trying and they were today. You put in that sort of effort you'll win more than you lose and deserve it too.

Chris.
