Yeeeooouch!! How much more of this can we take?!?!

I caught the NIRS audio feed on the Internet this weekend. I stayed awake through part of the third quarter and then gave up on our boys.

I thought it was interesting that the play at the start of the game was described as a "very physical game". That's not always what we've heard this year about our Tigers.

I also thought it was interesting that they commented so favorably about Richo early in the game, talking about how he really does love the club, that he's "matured as a team member" and he's "more settled". Later when he missed a goal from 45 metres out, kicked off the side of his boot, they said he was "not good enough". That seems to sum up his season, doesn't it? Hot one moment, cold the next. With consistency he'd be unstoppable, but I guess we could say that about a lot of players.

Pettifer had a terrific game. I was excited every time they called his name! They also said that Rodan was having a good game. Not much ease to say about the game, however. Let's just see what Collingwood brings.

Pretty much turned out as I predicted, another 56 point loss. Only 6 or is it 5 more weeks to go? Thank God! We get a new coach, a new coaching panel, maybe a new board and hopefully a new recruiter. We also get some nice juicy high draft picks. Admittedly we've got a few years down the bottom of the ladder coming, but hopefully this will allow us to rebuild and soar upwards late in the decade.
