Richmond 10.11.71 - Fremantle 12.9.81
Yikes. This was a game we could have won and SHOULD have won, and yet we couldn't put together two quarters of footy. Not a good sign for our beloved Richmond Tigers.

Of course there's media smack all over the place about Frawley resigning at the end of the season. There's talk of shake-ups on the board. It all makes me sad. I want sooooooooooo much for the Tigers to be successful!

I know some of you are hoping to lose the rest of the games to enable us to get good draft picks. I can't go that route. I still want to win, every single game left in the season. I don't care if it's for naught, I still want to hear the boys sing Tigerland.

This is the stretch of the season I've been waiting for all year over here across the ocean. Starting with the Essendon game, I'm going to be able to listen to the audio feed of each of the remaining games starting at 11pm my time. Do you KNOW how much I look forward to live audio? I can't catch the 7:40 games or the 7:10 games because they on in the middle of the night in the US but the afternoon games are perfect for me! I want to fill the excitement! I want the thrill!

GOOOOOO RICHMOND! GO GET'EM!!!

I can only shake my head these days....

I went into the room before the game and saw the players warming up and going through their pre-match routine... they were really fired up ready to serve it up to Freo..... It was great to get in the inner sanctum and see how they go about their preparation, but I have no idea what the hell happened at half time....

Subject: Seasons Over

Hey Becky
The Richmond season is now caput. Even if we scrape 12 wins together, our percentage is so shot up we still have no hope. There must be some serious changes at Richmond come the end of the season.

1) Sack the board and get rid of the squablers. As many media personalities have already said, "who would want to coach a club like Richmond with a board like that."

2) Get rid of that bloody president. I don't have much time for club politics and I have absoloutely NO time for a president who contradicts everything he says. I never really liked him and I like him less now.

3) Clean the rubbish from the list. I went through Richmonds list and about half of those players wouldn't get a game at any other club.

4) Sack the recruiting and drafting staff. In the last few years we have picked up some class players like Nathan Brown and Kane Johnson. However it irks me to think of the rubbish we have picked up as well. Players like Simon Fletcher, Luke Weller and Ben Marsh come to mind. Fletcher wasn't good enough for two other clubs so why would he be good enough at Richmond. Ditto with Ben Marsh. Luke Weller is young and developing but has shown nothing in the games he has played. Also, Richmond is rueing the drafting of Aaron Fiora over Matthew Pavlich. Though Fiora may show something he is nothing compared to the sheer class of Pavlich.

5) Sack the Coach. I know it is the ''thing'' at Richmond to sack the coach when things look bad but Frawley is in his fifth year and is not getting the best out of his players anymore. I don't hold Frawley even 20% responsible for Richmonds shoddy performances but something has to be done.

Through all this I think we can have a fresh start. New board, president, coach and players. I have no problem in waiting 4 or 5 years for young players to develop and a winning combination to form and I am sure that many other loyal Richmond supporters are the same. Look at Geelong. I would love Geelong to go far this year and stick it right up those who doubted them. I only hope that Richmond does something and doesn't just try the quick fix solution like it is used to doing. I wasn't alive when Richmond was winning Premierships left right and centre and I have only known Richmond to have made two finals series, one of which I can hardly remember, but I will follow this club though thick and thin as all supporters should do. That should do for now and all we can do is wait and see.

It would be lovely if we could beat Carlton this weekend. I remember the pain of those narrow losses the last two years and another one just won't do.

COME ON RICHMOND
