"He's an outstanding player. He loves to play the game, and it shows. But he's a rookie. Let's not anoint him yet." -- Coach Holmgren on Hamlin

"We’re trying to find our identity and one of the things is being aggressive. It’s going to be that way week in and week out." -- Ken Hamlin

"We have a fast defense and it's starting to show, because we're picking up the tipped passes and I hope we can do that all season long." -- Coach Holmgren

"We are starting to get a little more of a rhythm, but that defense again gave us a lot of opportunities" -- Coach Holmgren

"I feel, and I think that our offense feels, that we are only scratching the surface of how good we can be." QB Matt Hasselbeck

"It's been a long time since it's been this fun." -- Linebacker Chad Brown

"(Hamlin) is a Pro Bowl-type player. That's what he is playing like. I'm having a good time watching him." -- Cornerback Willie Williams

"He's a wonderful young man and a great football player - let me say those things first. But he does young, dumb things sometimes and I equate it with tough love. There is no one who wanted to see him play more than me in that game today. No one. But I don't have two sets of rules." -- Coach Mike Holmgren on Koren Robinson sitting out for disciplinary reasons

"He's great. He's a nice guy, hard working, humble, quiet, respectful. He plays with emotion, but in the locker room he's quiet and respectful." -- Linebacker Chad Brown, talking about Ken Hamlin

How are you doin? Well the game was awesome. It was literally hell in Tempe though with an estimated 118 degrees on the field. Tempe was the hottest place in the world yesterday. I got my official Sun Devil Stadium scars (Sunburn). It was cool seeing Cardinal fans get escorted by State Troopers out of their own stadium. One escorted Cardinal fan yelled out to us that we should go back to Seattle and drink our Starbucks coffee, lol. What a fool. All of us Hawk fans had the empty stadium rockin'. After the game was over Hasselbeck threw around 12 sideline players hats and Dilfer threw a football towards us. I was an inch away from a hat. I wish I would have gotten one of 'em; it would have been something to cherish forever. Maybe next time. 2-0 .This is our year.....The year of the Seahawks!

    We're 2-0, baby!!!

"Today was one of those days that if it is going to happen to you one time a year, I'm glad it happened to us now. I don't see this happening again." -- Cardinals Emmitt Smith

"You can't turn the football over like that. You can't start a game and put yourself 17 down. You cannot do it. There is no reason for it." -- Cardinals Coach McGinnis
