WA HOOOO SEAHAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't get to see the game, I only got to listen via the Internet so if any of you want to send game reports after watching it, feel free! From the sound of it, we were awesome! Three touchdowns in our first three possessions! It doesn't get much sweeter than that! The thing I noticed in this game is how well the TEAM worked. Whenever there was a good offensive play, the announcers were pointing out a block that had set up the play, or a scramble by Hasselbeck to buy more time for the receivers to get open, or an awesome defensive move that shut down the 49ers. TEAMWORK!! It's not something we've heard a lot about in the past few years! I like Hasselbeck! He won me over BIG TIME in last week's pre-season game and in training camp. I wish I could have seen him today as well because some of the plays they described must have been beautiful to watch! He's got good feet and good scrambling ability, and he stays so calm! I can't wait till all these games are televised! I was thrilled to hear that Charlie Rogers caught a touchdown pass! He won my heart last season, and although he spent some time in Holmgren's doghouse I hope his start today means good things! James Williams was great as a receiver and as a blocker for other receivers! Sounds like Shaun Alexander had a good day, and that Mack Strong was instrumental in blocking for Alexander. Our defense came to play, holding the 49ers to 3 and out on their first possession! So many times the Seahawks have experienced that on our opening offensive position -- it's great to have the shoe on the other foot! They were instrumental in getting turnovers that either resulted in a score for the Seahawks or holding the 49ers out of the end zone! Great job by the defense! I wish I could have seen the Reggie Tongue fumble recovery!! Apparently he pitched the ball to Marcus Robertson who ran it from somewhere near the end zone to the 34 yard line on the opposite end of the field!! It was a gain of something like 63 yards, VERY exciting on the radio call, unfortunately the play was reviewed and it turned out to be a forward pass. We ended up getting the ball on the 4 yard line! Is NFL football exciting or what?!?! Dilfer finished out the end of the second quarter after Hasselbeck came out with a minor twisted ankle. Hope all is well on that scene. I think we can be optimistic, Seahawk fans!!! This was a great victory for our team!!
