Here we are back at Game Day after a horrible weather weekend in Kansas. We got socked with an ice storm like none I’ve ever known. A week later and plenty of people are still out of power. Then we got socked with a foot of snow. Egad! Bring on the game! I need some NFL therapy!!!

The Seahawks kick off to the Panthers in the heavy wind. We had to hold the ball prior to the kick. No tees today!

1st and 10 for the Panthers from the 20 – Foster to run for a short gain. The Panthers are starting their 4th QB this season.
2nd and 9 – Flags. Christian Fauria, a former Seahawk, jumped off sides.
2nd and 14 – Foster to run again for a short gain.
3rd and 10 – Moore in the shotgun. Pressure. Scrambles. Runs out of bounds after a 5 yard gain.
4th and 5 – Burleson fielded the punt, got hit and turned around, and for a second I thought he was disoriented as to which way was OUR way!! Hee hee!

1st and 10 for the Seahawks – Hass slipped as he started to throw but it was complete to Branch.
2nd and 1 – The stands are so bare. Shaun to run and he got pounded behind the line. Ouch. That was a seriously hard hit!
3rd and 1 – Mo runs wide and he doesn’t make it either.
4th and 2 – Seahawks to punt. Let’s see how our new long snapper does. OK, apparently. Panthers call for fair catch.

1st and 10 for the Panthers – Pass to Smith for a short gain.
2nd and 7 – HUGE passing play for 54 yards. Where were we? Peterson totally missed that one.

1st and 10 – Foster to run for a short gain.
2nd and 8 – Williams to run for another short gain. Oops, strike that, no gain.
3rd and 8 – GREAT end zone defense by Jennings! Incomplete.
4th and 8 – Kasay, former Seahawk, will try a 36 yard attempt and it’s no good. The wind pulled the ball way off course. It must be seriously windy there!

1st and 10 for the Seahawk from the 27 – Shaun to run for nothing.
2nd and 9 – Pass to Branch for 16 yards. Little bit high but he pulled it in. Oh! They ruled it incomplete and said his feet were in bounds. Bummer
3rd and 10 – Incomplete pass.
4th and 10 – Robinson gets a decent return to the 40. 17 yards on the return.

1st and 10 for the Panthers – Pass wide, Jennings is right there to give them a one yard loss.
2nd and 11 – Williams to run for a short gain.
3rd and long – Pass wide, too low. Incomplete.
4th and 10 – Nate fields the punt and gets a couple of yards.

1st and 10 for the Seahawks – Pass high to Burleson, he drops it behind the line of scrimmage which makes the ball a free ball. We recover, but just barely. Eeks!
2nd and 15 – Incomplete pass to Weaver.
3rd and 15 – Screen to Weaver and he’s not even close to the first down marker.
4th and 9 – We punt and then make a huge hit. This is not a very exciting game just yet.

1st and 10 for the Panthers – Pass to Williams for a 4 yard gain.
2nd and 6 – Williams to run for a loss.
3rd and 8 – Pass for Smith and Hobbs (who?) tipped the ball and it fell incomplete.
4th and 8 – Nice kick. Burleson had to back up to field the ball. The wind must be wrecking havoc today.

1st and 10 for the Seahawks - Pass to Engram on a slant.
2nd and 4 – Hey, we got a first down! Go Bobby! He needs 71 yards for 1000 yard season.

1st and 10 – Pressure, incomplete.
2nd and 10 – Pass to Branch and he nearly got his head taken off on that tackle. Ouch.
3rd and 3 – Burleson does the end around and was tackled by Kenny Lucas, formerly our guy.
4th and 1 – Good special teams play. The ball goes out of bounds at the 2.

1st and 10 for the Panthers – Foster to run for a short gain.
2nd and 8 – Foster to run, ball pops loose. Looks like the Panthers recovered.
3rd and 8 – First down. Holmgren called a time out to keep the Panthers on that end of the field for a punt but it didn’t work. They got the first down. We have 38 yard offense in this quarter.

1st and 10 for the Panthers – Eeks, flea flicker! Ohhhh, we nearly intercepted it. It was incomplete.
2nd and 10 – Williams to run for a short gain.
3rd and 6 – Huge pass to the tight end for a first down for the Panthers.

1st and 10 – Smith got a nice passing gain near the first down marker.
2nd and 3 – Williams to run for nothing.
3rd and 3 – Incomplete pass. Panthers want a flag but they don’t get one. This is such a boring game!
4th and 3 – Burleson fields the punt.

1st and 10 for the Seahawks – Shaun dances for no gain.
2nd and 10 – Hass to run for the first down. That’s rough when the QB has to be the RB.

1st and 10 – Hass goes to Branch for a first down and he drops the ball. They’re saying he was down. It’s complete. Whew.

1st and 10 – Pass to Branch again for a first down. Nice.

1st and 10 – Shaun to run for nothing.
2nd and 9 – Mo to run for a 6 yard gain.
3rd and 3 – Timeout Carolina. Weaver to drop the ball again at the first down line.
4th and 3 – We punt, it goes into the end zone.

1st and 10 for the Panthers – Big hit by Russell, Hoover dropped the ball, it popped up into the air and came down right in his hands. Oops, penalty. Something about Jennings.
1st and 5 – Foster to run into a wall. Yawn. This is SUCH a boring game.
2nd and 9 – Foster slipped and went down.
3rd and 6 – Moore to pass to Robinson and he gets a first down.

1st and 10 – Moore throws a bullet incomplete.
2nd and 10 – This game is SO boring!! Oh my gosh, YAWN. We now have 80 yards of offense they say. Foster to run.
3rd and 4 – Has all day to throw. All day. Goes to Carter (?) for a first down.

1st and 10 – Bad snap, loose ball. Panthers recover.
2nd and 14 – Williams to run for a short gain. Flags. Holding on the offense.
2nd and 24 – Williams to run.
3rd and 19 – Flags all over the place. False start Panthers.
3rd and 24 – Bad snap. Moore recovers, passes, we cover it.

4th and 24 – Burleson fielded the punt.

1st and 10 for the Seahawks – Pass to MO, really low. Did it skip the ground? They’re calling it good. Mo looked surrpirsed.
2nd and ? – Pass to Engram who got a one handed pass. Nice.

1st and 10 – Dangerous low pass to Mo. Incomplete.
2nd and 10 – Hass to Engram for 9 yards.
3rd and 1 - :48 left in the half – Pass to Branch for a first down. Time out Seahawks.

1st and 10 - :33 left in the half. Hass to pass. Throws short to Morris. Incomplete.
2nd and 10 - :28 left. Incomplete pass. Ball was tipped or Hass was hit or something. Not sure what happened.
3rd and 10 - :24 left. Incomplete pass. Thrown behind Branch.
4th and 10 – Plack to punt. It will be downed inside the 5 yard line. :09 left in the game.

1st and 10 for the Panthers – Running play. Time runs out. Still no score in the game.

Panthers kicked off to the Seahawks; the wind took it out of bounds.

1st and 10 for the Seahawks from the 40 – Pass attempt, incomplete. Flags. Branch gets the pass interference penalty. We’ll take it.

1st and 10 – Hass has time, no one is open, pressure, steps out of it, passes to Weaver for a gain.
2nd and 5 – Pass to Engram for a first down.

1st and 10 – Shaun to run for next to nothing.
2nd and 8 – Slant pass to Branch shy of the first down.
3rd and 2 – Shaun to lose yards.
4th and 8 – Fair catch called.

1st and 10 for the Panthers – Foster to run for 5
2nd and 5 – Pass to Smith for a first down.

1st and 10 – Foster for nothing.
2nd and still boring – Moore to Fauria for a first down and 16 yards.

1st and 10 – Williams to run for 3.
2nd and boring as ever – Boring.
3rd and 6 – Blitz, complete pass to Robinson.

1st and 10 – Reverse for a 1 yard gain.
2nd and 9 – Foster to run. He’s wrapped up quickly.
3rd and ? – Pass to Smith. He doesn’t get the first down.
4th and 1 – He is far short of the first down. Well, that was remotely interesting. I’ll stop shy of calling it exciting.

1st and 10 for the Seahawks – Flags. False start.
1st and 15 – Incomplete.
2nd and 15 – Shaun got a run. And dropped the ball. Engram recovered! HEY! That was exciting! Flags. Illegal substitution?????
1st and 15 – SACK. We just lost a bazillion yards.
2nd and 26 – Hass to Shaun.
3rd and 20 – Time out Panthers. Well, we just lost the satellite. Yee haw.

Ah, we’re back after a brief satellite outage.

2nd and 8 – Foster to run for a nice gain.

1st and 10 for the Seahawks – Bleah, bleah, this game isn’t worth recording play by play, although Engram just had a nice catch. And another. Hey! We went long! COOL! That was exciting! And we drew a 24 yard pass interference penalty! COOL!!! This is the first time we’ve been in the red zone all day.
1st and 10 for the Seahawks from the 13 – Throws out of the end zone.
2nd and 10 – Hass waits, waits, has pressure, steps out of it, throws to Morris. That was a lot of work for 5 yards.
3rd and 5 – Mo to run, goes down shy of the first down.
4th and 1 – 23 yard attempt. It’s good.

What happened to the rest of the game, you ask? I slept. It was such a boring game and I was tired! I do know that we were down by 10 and scored a touchdown with 1 second remaining on the clock. It made the final score look a little more respectable; a little less boring!!

Big time Congrats to Bobby Engram for a 1000 yard season!! WAY TO GO, BOBBY!!!
