Madden picks us to win due to the experience of Hasselbeck.

Oh my gosh, we have D-Jax back and DJ Hackett, too! That’s certainly good news!

Marcus Trufant raised the 12th Man Flag today and he looked excited to be doing so!

3rd and 10 – Complete pass for a first down. Grrrr.
1st and 10 – Midfield. Jones to run for a short gain.
2nd and 8 – Romo is giggling. What’s up with that? Jones to run again for another short gain.

1st and 10 – Incomplete pass to Branch – that was a zingless ball. It looked wobbly.
2nd and 10 – Hass to Engram for a first down. Good effort by Bobby to get the first down after the catch. He had to turn around to catch the ball.
1st and 10 – Shaun to run up the middle into a brick wall.
2nd and 10 – Pass was tipped again, I think. In any case, it hit the hands of a Cowboy. Replay. Just straight to the Cowboy player. The pass was too low, like a sidearm pass.
3rd and 10 – Time out Seahawks.
3rd and 10 – Flags for holding on Jerramy Stevens. The defender was all over him.
1st and 10 – Hass is calling an audible. Shaun to run. He has to work for all he gets.

Extra point; flags. False start. They’ll try again.

Seahawks 13

2nd and 4 – Easy power run for a first down.
1st and 10 – Big hole.
1st and 10 – Flag. Holding penalty on us.
1st and 10 – We’re letting the Cowboys through holes on every play. This is getting ugly. The momentum has shifted big time. We are not playing with the enthusiasm we had earlier in the game. It’s not too late to get something started again, but we need to do it now. I can’t keep up the play by play. I’m too nervous.

Field goal for Cowboys.

Dallas 20
Seattle 13

1st and 10 – I cannot do the play by play anymore. I just can’t do it. I’m too nervous!

I can’t even describe this series. We went all the way down to the one yard line and couldn’t get it in. Holmgren allowed us to go for it on 4th down … and we blew it.

And then on the next play, the Cowboys were deep, caught a ball, fumbled, and we batted it around, they called it a touchdown, they reviewed it, and in the end … and we get a safety.

Dallas 20
Seattle 15

6:17 left in the game.

Touchdown STEVENS!!! No good 2 point conversion however.

Dallas 20
Seattle 21

**** TWO MINUTE WARNING *****

WE WON!!!! SO MUCH happened in the final two minutes I can’t even begin to describe it!!! Dallas had every opportunity to win the game and we held them! There was a bad snap on the potential game winning field goal. There was a first down ruled on the field that would have enabled the Cowboys to run out the clock, but the play was reviewed and the spot was called short of the first down. We started at the 2 yard line with the risk of any number of bad things happening. It was just CRAZY!! Bottom line: WE WON!!!!! No Once and Done for the 2006 Seahawks! We're moving ahead to the next playoff game!!!

Note: The Seattle Times did an excellent job of recapping the wild and crazy bits of this game!

Recapping the wild twists and turns of Saturday night's game

The Seahawks' 21-20 victory over the Dallas Cowboys may be one of the most memorable wins in franchise history. A look at five key plays in a wild final seven minutes:

6 minutes, 48 seconds: The Seahawks, trailing 20-13, fail on fourth-and-goal from the Dallas 2-yard line when QB Matt Hasselbeck rolls out and forces a pass to TE Will Heller in the end zone that is incomplete. The Cowboys get the ball.

6:42: The Cowboys start their possession with QB Tony Romo throwing to his left to WR Terry Glenn, and Glenn makes the catch and slips to the turf. As he gets up, Seattle CB Kelly Jennings knocks the ball out of Glenn's grasp for a fumble. A mad scramble for the ball ensues, and SS Michael Boulware recovers the ball for what officials rule a touchdown. When the Cowboys challenge the ruling and win, it's a safety for the Seahawks and a 20-15 Dallas lead.

4:31: The Seahawks, having taken possession after the safety, take a 21-20 lead when Hasselbeck hits TE Jerramy Stevens over the middle in stride for a 37-yard TD. Seattle goes for a two-point conversion to go up by three but fails.

1:19: After a Seahawks challenge changes the spot of the ball from the Seattle 1 to the Seattle 2 and a first down to a fourth down, the Cowboys line up for a 19-yard, go-ahead field goal. But Romo, the holder, drops the snap and has to run with the ball. He's tackled for no gain by CB Jordan Babineaux, who prevents a first down and a TD, giving the Seahawks the ball with the lead.

0:02: Romo tries a desperation pass from the 50 on the Cowboys' last chance to win the game. Seattle CB Pete Hunter is credited with knocking the ball down in the end zone to end the game.
