Are you ready for some football?!?!?!

The wait is over! We finally get to see our boys back on the field! We finally get to see if all of the off-season hype has been warranted!

I didn't get to see the game live, which annoys me to no end. I think for the price we pay for Sunday Ticket and satellite TV, we should be able to see our favorite teams live in the pre-season. Alas, it doesn't work that way, so I waited not-so-patiently for Sunday afternoon to arrive so I could see the game. By then my hopes had already been deflated because I knew too much about the game. I couldn't watch with an unbiased eye, knowing that Hasselbeck would only play for a few snaps, knowing that Seneca Wallace was rushed, knowing that we drew way too many penalty flags.

I'm not fussed about anything that went on in the game. A pre-season game is just that. Who cares? I was really pleased though to see the outstanding play of Ryan Plackemeier and I can't wait to see more of him! On one fan website he was ranked as the best Seahawk player to take the field! I don't know that I'd go that far, but he had some pretty awesome punts.

I was also THRILLED to see Darrell Jackson suited up and on the field! What a courageous athlete he is! Like his mama, I'm a bit worried about the hits he'll take this season but I can't help but love his spirit and dedication. I wish him an incredibly successful season!

I've GOT to give kudos to the Seattle crowd who turned up with all the enthusiasm of a regular season game!!! You guys made us PROUD!! WAY TO GO!!!
