Seahawks 37 - Rams 31
We finally beat the Rams!!! WA HOOO!!! Now the rivalry has truly begun!!!
I am SO proud of this team! Hasselbeck was fantastic today, throwing passes right on target to players who in theory shouldn't have fallen so easily into existing the rhythm that Hasselbeck has with injured receivers Darrell Jackson and Bobby Engram. Hass threw them; they caught them. It was a beautiful thing! Was anyone else wondering who these players of ours on the field were? I can't get the new names and numbers into my head, so someone would make a play and I'd be scrambling to figure out who it was and where he came from! I swear, half the time we had our B-team in and they played like an A-team! Maybe THIS is the team we need on the field all the time! Maybe these back-ups should be our starters! I was really impressed with what I saw today! So many times we hear the talk about depth -- I think this year we've got it! GO HAWKS!!! The injury to Boulware was very scary, but we can be thankful this evening that his injuries appear to be minor. He's expected to be bruised and sore tomorrow but the tests were negative to serious injury, and that's fantastic news. I am always moved at the closeness of the players when something like this happens on the field. The huddling, the looks of concern, the group prayer -- it puts the game into perspective. Again, I'm proud of our boys for all that they did today! Unlike many games where the ball doesn't bounce our way, the boys came up with big plays when we needed them. The Rams had a chance to come back but our defense remained strong and came up with the big play. You can't ask for more than that! GO HAWKS! This was a HUGE win! BE PROUD! |
