Seattle 21 - Atlanta 18

We won! We won! We so totally won!!! :-)

WOW! That was fun! How can anyone live in or near Seattle and not be a season ticket holder?!?! Games ROCK my world!!! I loved being there. I loved the atomsphere. I loved the stadium. I loved being with friends. I loved seeing the players. I loved the $22.00 hot dogs ... er ... uh ... maybe not so much on the hot dogs ... !

What a game! We played OK in the first quarter, dominated in the second, slacked off in the third, and held tight in the fourth. It may not have been brilliant football but it was enough to see us walk away as champions against a very good team! Goooooooooooo Seahawks!

Part of the victory has to go directly to the fans who responded to the players' request for NOISE!! When they asked, we delivered a deafening volume, and I think we made a difference particularly on the final defensive plays of the game! GO #12!!!! Come back with a vengeance!!!!

I'm actually VERY excited to see a relationship forming between players and fans. In the past I didn't always see that in Seattle, but at Sunday's game the players interacted with the fans, both before the game (and the winner is Shaun Alexander -- he's SO lovable and fan friendly!) and during the game when they often called for help from #12. I would LOVE to see that relationship build to the point that playing at home is almost an automatic win for our Seahawks!

Another thing I saw that thrilled me beyond words is to see lines and lines and lines of fans in the Seahawks store after the game. I wanted to pick up a couple of things that I hadn't purchased prior to the game but there was no way I was waiting in lines that long. MANY fans were though, and it's terrific to see people wanting to wear the gear; wanting to sport the memorabilia. I think the city is becoming a Seahawks town again! FINALLY!!!

What a great game, what a fantastic day (we had a great view of the Space Needle from where we sat), what terrific company -- THANK YOU SEATTLE for another wonderful vacation!!! I'll be back!
