Seahawks 28 - Titans 24

WE DID IT!!! AGAIN!!! HOW SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!

Here's what I think happened: We clearly dominated in the first quarter. We had no competition. We outplayed the Titans in every aspect of the game. I seriously thought Coach Holmgren would pull starters in the second quarter.

But then the Titans blocked a field goal, got a touchdown, and then a second. Good for the Titans, I'm not taking anything away from them, but at that point I think we had relaxed our defense and backed off on offense as well because it had appeared that we were on our way to a humiliation of Tennessee.

And that was dangerous. Never underestimate the opponent!

We HAD to come back and play in the second half, and when we put together a nice drive, it was a thing of beauty. Hasselbeck looked calm and in control the entire time, the plays were smooth and efficient, Shaun ran deliberately and successfully. We are capable of putting together a drive this year as beautifully as any team I've ever seen, whereas in past years it seemed to take a bit of luck. Yeah, I was worried for a short time when the Titans pulled ahead, especially when they embarrassed us with a fake punt that worked so easily in their favor, and I'm disappointed our defense didn't come up with a big play, but their game plan called for trick plays and gimmicks -- fun football to be sure but usually used as a last resort for a team that has nothing to lose. We, on the other hand, won the game with good, solid football.

I don't know -- I sort of hate to say this for fear of jinxing us but we appear to be unstoppable! We made this game look easy!
