Seahawks 41 - 49ers 3

There's no feeling humble today! This was a thing of beauty! After nearly letting the 49ers get the best of us earlier in the year, I'm tickled that we made a statement to them this week!

Kudos to every player on the team, offense, defense, special teams, those who don't get as much playing time as others, and even Ken Hamlin on the sidelines! (It's GREAT to see you again, Kenny! All the best to you!) Kudos to every coach, every assistant, every staff member who work tirelessly for our Seahawks! I don't think we got to 11/2 without the effort of an organization that gave what was needed to win!

As we began putting in back-ups in the final quarter, I started wondering how many times we've seen the back-ups go into the game. Aside from the years when we had ongoing QB controversies, I can't recall when we put our back-ups in for back-to-back games; in fact, the only time I can remember putting in the back-ups was when we were losing so bad that any change of pace was worth the risk. To have us do this two consecutive weeks because we had the game wrapped up by the start of the 4th quarter, well, that's pretty amazing.

I know that San Francisco is struggling. I know that we didn't beat a play-off caliber team. But winning games like this one is something a good team does. They don't let their guard down. They play to make a statement. They give it their all. That's what we did, and I'm so proud of our players! And I'm proud of Coach Holmgren for the game plan as well!
