Seahawks 10 - Cowboys 18

I felt pretty good about our first team taking the field today. Matt Hasselbeck orchestrated a sustained drive in the first quarter and looked comfortable and confident in the leadership role. He lost a fumble that was recovered by Dallas but our defense was able to hold the Cowboys to a field goal. Hasselbeck also threw an interception but didn't lose confidence over it. I thought Jerramy Stevens had a nice game and I was super impressed with the effort of Bobby Engram. I enjoyed the interview with Shaun Alexander -- what can I say, I just like the personality of Shaun!

I just couldn't believe the kudos our offensive line received from Madden, and especially our left side. Madden alluded to the possibility that the Seahawks have THE best left side offensive line in the NFL. WOW!

We had another look at Seneca Wallace today and it struck me that he's a lot like Doug Flutie. He's small and quick, and he's not afraid to run around to get things done! I found myself drawn to him, watching him eagerly to make something of nothing! This is the first time that I've been really excited to see him on the field! Now I want to see more! I can't wait for our next game to see what else he can do!

David Greene took a lot of flack for the play in which he gave himself a safety by stepping out of the end zone as he was scrambling. I thought Madden was a little harsh, but I suppose he has a point in that by the time you get to the level of NFL football you should't make blatant mistakes like that. I'm willing to cut him some slack and chalk it up to nerves, excitement, and being a rookie!

Overall I thought we looked promising. The game got sloppy there at the end and we didn't come out on top on the scoreboard, but I saw enough positives to feel good about where we're at in this part of the season! Goooooo Seahawks!
