1996 Seahawks

From the archives: Our 1996 Seahawks webpage!

Remember the old floppy disk cameras!? We had the Sony Mavica, a .3mp for anyone who's curious, and yes, I do mean to have the decimal point there!

We were recently archiving photos from the floppy disks and came across this back-up disk of our early website! We hope you'll laugh as much as we did at this cutting edge web design and relevant news! [Dead links have been removed.]

How are we doin' this year??? See for yourself!!!

Preseason:
SEAHAWKS 19 - Falcons 17
Want to know what a die hard fan I am??? The only way to catch the game was to read joec's play-by-play over the chat! (A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!!) We played GREAT!!
SEAHAWKS 24 - Raiders 19
I got to watch this game on satellite! We were AWESOME!! Two of the screen plays were BEAUTIFUL!! I loved seeing Coach Erickson's enthusiasm!!
SEAHAWKS 13 - Colts 15
Thanks to first down, I was able to listen to the game over Real Audio while chatting with fellow Seahawk friends! What a season this will be! Denis was at the game and assures me we looked SOLID!! Incidentally, we lost by a long field goal in the last seconds of the game.
SEAHAWKS 20 - 49ers 3
I got to watch this game on satellite! With the first string in, we held the 49er offense to only 3 points on a long field in the first half. What does THAT say about our SEAHAWKS, hmmmmm????!!

Like to chat? Here are links to three football chat rooms:

The KJR Sports Radio Seahawk Chat is THE BEST place to go for serious Seahawk Fans....like ME!!!!!!! I've met some TERRIFIC people there!

The ESPN Chat is fun when there are serious football fans talking, but not so much fun when it's full of teens having hormone surges.

The NFL Locker Room Chat is another place to go for good football conversation, but most of the participants know each other and it's easy to feel like an outsider. (Just my opinion...!!)

There are several interesting Seahawk pages on the Net. Check them out!

SAL-UTE...Mr. Paul Allen, and his Football NW link!

How 'bout a site that will give you Seahawk and NFL Links? If you have found other Seahawk sites, PLEASE e-mail me so I can enjoy them, too!

Did my home page say something about player stats? Hey, we all know stats are a guy-thing, and I'm NO GUY!!! So here are the kind of stats-n-stuff GIRLS are interested in!!! (Speaking only for myself, of course!) This is the really good stuff, guys!!!

Eric Unverzagt - Nicknamed Unvy which means "not a care in the world"! I love it!

Joey Galloway - Able to bench press 400 pounds; called "a genetic freak" by Cortez Kennedy! And is it REALLY true that he has a 44" vertical leap???

Cortez Kennedy - (aka: Big Dawg!) Reported in at 307 pounds this year; that's 20 pounds less than last year! DL Coach Tom Basher says, "Cortez playing tired is better than a lot of other guys playing fresh!"

Glenn Montgomery - (aka: Short Dawg!) Is it just me, or is that nickname a riot for someone who's 6' tall and weighs 282 pounds?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Brian Blades - The oldest player on the Seahawk team this year! (Honor previously held by the Great Joe Nash.)

Matt LaBounty - Matt's girlfriend, Kelly Blair, competed in the heptathalon at the Summer Olympics in Atlanta! Cool!

Chris Warren - Last year's "most durable runner". Among backs with the most rushing yards after their 20th carry of the game, Chris led the pack! In 37 attempts, he had 168 yards for an average of 4.5! He also led the league in 4th quarter/overtime rushing yards (405). GO CHRIS!!!!!

Back-up QB Kitna - He threw for 400+ yards and SEVEN touchdowns in one game in his Junior year! What a fun game that must have been!!

Eddie Goines - "...I'm going to war and competing for a job every day..." Sounds to me like he WANTS to be a Seahawk! [Sidenote: injured; out for the season; bummer]

Former Seahawk Legend Steve Largent - Voted one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the World by People Magazine. Just one more of the MANY accomplishments of this wonderfully talented Seattle Seahawk Receiver!

Ex-Seahawk Brian Bosworth - Get this: When asked in an interview if he had anything to say to Seahawk fans, he said, "I wish I was still playing. It would have been 10 years and we'd have had two Superbowl Rings." Quite an ego for a LOSER! Unbelievable.....

Hope you enjoyed my Seahawks page! Come back again sometime!
