Two words.......#$#%^&*@#$ Awesome!!!!! (I know, use of those characters is socially offensive, but it works!) The hall itself....you can't beat it. You can't help but get pumped for the season and be humbled in awe at the same time. The rotating theatre is el' magnifique! The sounds, the sights, the brief clips of OUR boys! Tremendous! (Including the shots of the SuperBowl.....oh did we forget Eugene??? He is still awesome no matter what the uniform! He is my nominee as the next Seahawk to the HOF.) You'll never know who you will meet in the HOF. I bumped into Mr. Steeler himself...Terry Bradshaw and family while gazing upon Largent's jersey. Terry even stared in awe for awhile. I saw the Dolphin sensation....Bob Griese...and Roy "everyone cries on his show" Firestone. Lamar Hunt (you know him Becky!) was trolling the grounds, and the entire cast of the 1997 Vikings showed up! Chris Carter ain't quite as big as I thought he'd be...but incredible just the same. Well, Friday night I waited until 10:00 pm for OUR Hawks to show up for their tour of the HOF. Needless to say, they were probably tired of traveling and made a beeline for the doors (which were guarded by hulking 67 year old Hall security guys). As they trickled out after their tour, I pretty much watched the guys filter out of the HOF (being hustled, and I mean hustled!!, by the aforementioned security guards) and jump on the bus. There were several Hawk fans there, but not the type I was proud of. Some of them were rude, and made defamatory remarks about many topics. Oh well, every team has them. Now the game (as you saw the induction....) was stupendous. Any time I am in attendance for the Hawks it is awesome. I have never heard of 30% of the guys on the sidelines. They must've been college FA pickups challenging for jobs. Tyree Davis (sp?) is phenomenal!!! and so is his World League counterpart Jon Kitna. I am incredibly pumped to see when Kitna takes the reins over! He put together a 10+ play drive for a touchdown throwing 13 for 13 passes.....can we say SuperBowl QB?????? Kitna was also one of the few guys who stayed after everyone left to sign autographs for the 150 or so people waiting for them! Benny Blades threw a little girl his hat and Keif (??) Bryant threw out his nasty sweaty gloves.....Damn I wanted them!!!!! As for a play by play...I can't give you that. I'm sure you saw it on the TV. But being there is so special. I am feeling really good about OUR team.....even if Mr. Springs doesn't want to play on our side.... Whew! I am beat! It was long weekend. I must've taken 60 or so photos....gotta get them developed. Anyways, it was freakin' beautiful baby!!!!
