OK, so I had to make a trip out of town from 2:00-8:30 Sunday afternoon -- prime football time! I didn't have access to television or sports radio. Aaaauuuggghhh! The moment I arrived home, I popped the video tape into the VCR and sat down to watch my beloved Seahawks.
I should have stayed in Wichita!!! WHAT HAPPENED??? Where are our 3/0 Seahawks? Where is the quarterback we believed in? What was it Mike Holmgren said when he threw his headset angrily to the ground? (Uh...don't answer that last question!)
I'm not going to place the blame on Hasselbeck. For crying out loud, the papers have come up with a chart that outlines the 10 worst games he's had in his NFL history. How cruel is that? Would ANY Of us like to have our 10 worst days publicized for the world to read? Give the guy a break!
Our receivers, with the exception of Darrell Jackson who continues to perform, had problems. Even the legendary Jerry Rice, wearing Steve Largent's number, dropped a pass that was thrown right to him. The bugaboo goes on.
Defense had some good plays but they let Emmitt Smith get the best of us. Emmitt Smith in a Cardinals uniform? What's the NFL come to?!
I've been encouraging you to keep your head up, but I think now it's time to panic. We had a string of games coming up that should have come out in our favor. We lost the first of them; we can't risk lying down for the others. It's now time.
