Seahawks 27 - Rams 20

We could have had it. We could have had it.

We had the lead and didn't protect it. We had a chance to tie it up and couldn't get it done. The season ended much the way many games ended this season...with another heartbreaking loss.

A lot of fingers will be pointed in the coming days and weeks. A lot of faults will be disclosed. Blame will cast whether deserved or not. I don't want to talk about any of that.

We pinned our hopes and dreams on a Super Bowl appearance this season and instead walked away with another mediocre season. As long time Seahawks fans, we should be used to it. This is a team that is accustomed to struggling. Why does it hurt so?

Because we bleed Seahawks blue and neon green.

Our season is over. We have a lot of clean-up ahead. We face challenges and changes we can't begin to imagine.

But those of us who love this team will be back in 2005. Wearing the colors, supporting the players, hoping for that elusive Big Game.

2005. GO HAWKS!
